I Come To You

I come to You,
When life feels like a test,
I come to You,
When my soul needs rest.

I come to You,
When my burdens feel heavy,
I come to You,
When my feet feel unsteady.

I come to You,
When I am without words,
I come to You,
When my heart hurts.

I come to You,
To escape the rat race,
I come to You,
To clear my head space.

I come to You,
When my eyes are fixed on the storm,
I come to You,
When chaos feels like the norm.

The world is the world,
This I cannot change.
To live in it but not be of it,
Can be a challenging interchange.

My soul is unsatisfied,
With the shallowness of the mainstream,
The hierarchies people create,
The constant dog eat dog schemes.

I want nothing to do with it,
I want to be at peace,
I want to rejuvenate my hope,
And to nurture my belief.

They say that faith is trusting,
When all the evidence is unseen.
May I trust You fully,
So that life is more serene.

Tucked away here in this corner,
Of this great big place,
I see beauty,
I see Your face,
I see love,
And I see grace.
